Rollin’ Amsterdam

Rollin’ Amsterdam

Amsterdam always gets the bad rap for attracting the worst kind of tourists. They’re making an effort.

Many many thanks to my kuya Alvin [CLICK] for visiting me in Europe. Our first stop was Amsterdam [CLICK] and unlike any other tourist we stayed in this awesome estate which housed Designer Rooms [CLICK], Art Studio with Artworks [CLICK], and the oldest cinema of Netherlands. Marcel Exchange [WEBSITE], way cooler than any other hotel. It had Zebra-printed patterned door [CLICK] we loved it.

Breakfast [CLICK] is important, and so is Dinner. We made plans.

Many many thanks to my Dutch friends [CLICK] for welcoming us to their home and taking us to an Italian Dinner [CLICK]. I met them a couple of years ago in Manila and they’re the best. I’ve visited them twice in Amsterdam already and I’m looking forward to visit them again. For dinner, we started with Fois Gras [CLICK], Kuy had the Black Truffle Pasta [CLICK], and I the Lobster [CLICK]. We were almost handed a pocketful of Truffles [CLICK]. Too bad Kuy can’t hand-carry it US-bound, we had a bottle instead [CLICK]. Ciro, charged us for the bottle.

Night was young so we headed to a pub. I’ll tell you we drank a lot [CLICK] and I’ll show you what we didn’t smoke [CLICK]. After winning a 50 Euro wager against a cocky stranger, Me and Kuy bid our goodbyes to our gracious hosts and headed to Paradiso [WEBSITE] where the cool kids were [CLICK] and the crazy woman trying to rip off my shirt [CLICK]. It’s cool, she just wanted some [CLICK].

Next day was equally entertaining. Brunch like breakfast is equally important [CLICK].

What better way to explore the city than Mac Bikes [CLICK]. It’s equally amusing as cruising canals. I’ve tried both. We were riding and exploring, stumbling into Fresh Herring Sandwich [CLICK]. Kuya loved it [CLICK]. I loved it. We were riding and exploring, stumbling upon a recommendation [CLICK]. We tried everything [CLICK]. Headed back to Paradiso where the cool kids were.

to be continued (Paris)…
