Ever heard of an underwater casing for Lomography’s Holga?

I always wondered if they will ever design and make a casing for the Holga. What would the lomographs look like underwater?

Being the swimmer that I am, I’ve always wanted to capture and photograph random things around and inside the pool–submerged. I even have an album just for submerged and underwater photography of swimmers, people, and all the rumblings inside the pool… but not with lomography’s Holga. I looked into it on the internet and VOILA! Internet really can do wonders with research! imagine: all you need are a couple of easy to find Ingredients, readily available in any super market: 1 Large Ziplock plastic bag, Electrical tape, and rubber bands, Of course you’ll need swimmers and people to pose for you, and yes before I forget you’ll need the most important thing! swimming pool! with clear water.

So, how do you go about it?

STEP #1: BAG IT! place you Holga inside a large Ziplock clear plastic bag.

STEP #2: FLATTEN IT! tighten the plastic around the lens and wrap it with rubber bands to flatten the plastic covering the plastic lens.

STEP #3: AIR TIGHT IT! suck as much air out of the Zip lock bag… you wouldn’t want a ballon plastic bag having a hard time submersing.

STEP #4: ZIP IT! zip locks are water tight but it’s always best to be sure with an additional electric tape covering the Zip portion.

STEP #5: DIVE IN & SHOOT! get in the pool and click away!
